How do you use this active?
Mandelic acid 20% mixes well with plant-based cleansers and cannot be mixed with a cream. Mix 3-6 drops with your vegan Edelweiss cleanser, leave on skin for 60 seconds, do not massage (this will cause the liquid to curl), then remove thoroughly with water. You can do this 3 to 5 times per week. You can also use the mandelic acid as a loose peeling. Note that when you use it as a loose peeling it is more intense, and it must be neutralized well with water.
What does this active do?
- Removes dead skin cells
- Reduces pigmentation spots
- Very mild action due to large molecules
- Has antibacterial properties
- Inflammatory effects
- Stimulates collagen and elastin
- Anti aging
- Freshens dull skin
What can you expect from this active?
The mandelic acid active is characterized by large molecules that penetrate the skin very slowly and do the exfoliating work much more gradually and gently. This makes it much less irritating and less likely to cause redness as a reaction and it is very suitable for more sensitive skin. Due to its antibacterial effect, we also often recommend this active (active ingredient) for acne and inflammation.
